Super scarce and incredibly desirable REAL overdate 1883/2 Shield Nickel. Cherry Picker’s lists several varieties of 1883/2 Shield Nickels, yet this is the ONLY variety where the underlying ‘2′ in the date is not only visible, but clear with nearly two thirds of the ‘2′ visible on the left of the overlying ‘3′. Cherry Picker’s also states this variety is ‘worth’ at least a 25% premium over the less discernable overdate varieties.
